Podcasts
These podcasts were created through a series of interviews conducted by Charmaine’s brilliant undergraduate students at McGill University (Montreal) for her fourth-year Art History seminar “African Canadian Art History” (winter 2019).
Each student was paired with an art historian, curator, artist, or cultural worker who has made considerable contributions to the landscape of Black art and culture in Canada. Their interviews represent an important step in the historiography of Black Canadian Arts.
