Who are we?: Soram Baseball Academy is the dream of childhood friends Dioni Soriano and Ellis Ramirez Ortiz, two accomplished athletes who have years of experience as professional baseball players and coaches.

Dioni Soriano
Born in the baseball capital of of the Dominican Republic, San Pedro de Macoris, Soriano grew up playing elite baseball in the D. R. before playing professionally in China, Korea, Taiwan, and Japan between 2006 and 2012, and for the Tigers del Licey and Estrellas Oriente in Dominican Republic’s professional LIDOM league. He began his coaching career in 2015.
Ellis Ramirez Ortiz
Born in the baseball capital of of the Dominican Republic, San Pedro de Macoris, Ramirez Ortiz began playing elite baseball at the age of 13 before being recruited by MLB Minor League teams the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001 and the Texas Rangers in 2003. He then began coaching with San Felipe based in Santo Domingo where he successfully trained three pitchers who were recruited to play in the MLB and MLB Minor League. He continued private coaching in Halifax, Canada in 2022 and began training boys ages 8 to 15 years old in Amherst, Massachusetts in 2023.
