Caribbean Studies, Today Conversation Series

Join CERLAC for a thought-provoking discussion featuring Chevy Eugene, educator, researcher and international human rights activist, in conversation with Cikiah Thomas (Global African Congress), Dr. Beverley Mullings (Professor, University of Toronto) and Dr. Carl James (Jean Augustine Chair in Education, Community & Diaspora, York University). Chevy will talk about The Crisis of Caribbean Studies in Canada.

Moderated by Dr. Shaunasea Brown, the conversation considers contemporary Caribbean Studies not just as a field of study, but “as a conceptual, ideological, political, and moral question” (Scott, 2013).
